We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Hospital Cleaner to join our team. As a Hospital Cleaner you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for our patients visitors and staff. Your main responsibilities will include: - Cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms common areas and other designated areas in the hospital - Emptying and sanitizing trash bins and disposing of medical waste according to safety standards - Restocking supplies such as toilet paper soap and hand sanitizer - Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers - Following infection control protocols to prevent the spread of illnesses and infections - Reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department - Assisting with laundry services including washing drying and folding linens and hospital gowns - Adhering to all safety and health regulations and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times - Collaborating with other hospital staff to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff. Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role preferably in a healthcare setting - Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation techniques and infection control protocols - Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment - Good communication and teamwork skills - Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects - Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
