Plumber (Independent Contractor)

About the Role

The FIXHUB is looking for an experienced, professional, and customer-focused Plumber to join our growing network of service professionals. This is a per-job contractor position, ideal for someone who enjoys flexible working hours while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

You will be responsible for completing plumbing repairs, maintenance, installations, and emergency call-outs to residential and small commercial customers. As a representative of The FIXHUB, professionalism, reliability, and excellent communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose plumbing faults and provide effective solutions.
• Perform plumbing installations, repairs, maintenance, and replacements.
• Respond to emergency plumbing call-outs when required.
• Complete work safely and in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and professional work environment at every job site.
• Communicate professionally with customers before, during, and after each job.
• Accurately report completed work, materials used, and any additional findings through company reporting systems.
• Take clear before-and-after photographs where required.
• Represent The FIXHUB professionally and uphold the company's reputation for quality and reliability.

Minimum Requirements
• Minimum 3–5 years' proven plumbing experience.
• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Valid South African Identity Document or a valid work permit authorising employment in South Africa.
• Clear criminal record.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively in Afrikaans.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good written reporting and documentation skills.
• Trustworthy, honest, and dependable.
• Punctual with strong time-management skills.
• Able to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends when required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
