As per the Ministry of Labour & Employment, the minimum wage for electricians in India is ₹20,500 per month as of 1 April 2026 for unskilled to skilled categories in central sphere establishments. Overtime must be paid at double the ordinary rate for work beyond 8 hours per day. This rate applies to all scheduled employments notified under the Act.

As per the Ministry of Labour & Employment, candidates must hold an ITI Electrician trade certificate from NCVT or SCVT with minimum 2 years of relevant work experience for entry-level posts. Annual leave with wages is 15 days after 240 days of work plus 10 festival holidays. Night shift allowance of ₹150 per shift applies for work between 10 PM and 6 AM.
