Electrical Technician

As per the Ministry of Labour & Employment, the minimum wage for electricians in India is ₹20,500 per month as of 1 April 2026 for unskilled to skilled categories in central sphere establishments. Overtime must be paid at double the ordinary rate for work beyond 8 hours per day. This rate applies to all scheduled employments notified under the Act.

As per the Ministry of Labour & Employment, candidates must hold an ITI Electrician trade certificate from NCVT or SCVT with minimum 2 years of relevant work experience for entry-level posts. Apprenticeship completion under the Apprentices Act 1961 is mandatory for government and PSU electrician roles. No fresher without ITI qualification is eligible for licensed electrical work.

As per the Ministry of Labour & Employment, applicants need Aadhaar number, PAN card, ITI Electrician certificate, and bank account details to complete NCS registration by 31 March 2026. Upload scanned copies of experience letters and apprenticeship certificate for verified job matches. Registration is free and must be done only through the official NCS mobile app or website.

As per the Ministry of Labour & Employment, electricians are entitled to 8 hours per day and 48 hours per week with one paid weekly off under the Factories Act. Annual leave with wages is 15 days after 240 days of work plus 10 festival holidays. Night shift allowance of ₹150 per shift applies for work between 10 PM and 6 AM.
