Job Summary

Our Customer Service Officers support Harvard Protection in our goal of providing best in class security and life safety services. Our Customer Care personnel are responsible for providing professional customer-focused security and life safety services for the people and the property they protect and our employees.
β€’ Maintain a professional demeanor while aiding customers, employees, visitors, and guests
β€’ Maintain a visible presence in the facility / building assigned
β€’ Monitor the environment, with the ability to detect suspicious and unsafe activity
β€’ Responsible for becoming familiar with incoming and outgoing traffic, know the customers, tenants, visitors, and guests
β€’ Greet customers, visitors, staff, tenants, guests in a professional manner always
β€’ Answers questions and assists guests and employees in a customer focused, supportive manner
β€’ Answer all phones in a professional manner
β€’ Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
β€’ Know the facility / building policies and procedures, and enforce them within the required limits
β€’ Perform required patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
β€’ Observe departing personnel to protect against the theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate customer requirements
β€’ Follow established emergency action planning and procedures
β€’ Monitor alarms and systems, as required
β€’ Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, as directed
β€’ The essential duties and responsibilities may differ by customer location assigned
β€’ State or municipality mandated security officer licenses
β€’ Minimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent
β€’ Must have reliable means of communication and transportation
β€’ Must have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable period
β€’ Strong interpersonal communication skills and friendly, professional demeanor
β€’ Neat and professional appearance
β€’ Computer skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively operate and manage security and communication devices.
β€’ Write routine correspondence, to include log entries and incident reporting
β€’ Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, customer service experience helpful
